In Year 2005, worked on a Business Plan to setup a WSN Devices Design Centre, at that time made an evaluation of technologies and concluded that the technology in terms of engineering and business potential was ZigBee ( www.zigbee.org ), 802.15.4; I focused on WSN orginally becuase I though it had a huge potential in OIL & GAS Industry, now would also include Wind Power! ; amazingly in the company I work now “they see a future of 50b connected devices”, therefore I have removed the dust to this Business Plan and see what I wrote at that time, by now just want to share the technical part, find it embedded, call it as you want 4G, Verticals; what I remember also was the big potential of m2m embedded into automotive but haven’t explored this idea fully as the Automotive industry to me is a bit “dark” Industry in terms of the Entry Barriers –patents, innovation, market structure.
