Road to Andalucia

A couple weeks after I came back from Egypt, were invited to go to Jerez de la Frontera and went driving from Madrid; as soon as arrived to Andalucia the whole landscape changed dramatically, and because of the Summer the fields look very green (were told that after summer everything is dry); while looking at the green, basically three things were shaking my head, the marketing Analysis module ;) ; Why in Mexico just can not have our land to be so productive and Third, where all the Olive productions goes!!.

for the first question, will receive the answer in two weeks and hopefully will be looking into Marketing Strategy Module.

Why in Mexico can not have our land so productive is very linked to the third question and is based on a personal theory,

first want to let you know what I mean by "the green" :

I used to wonder again and again how come that the agricultural production is Olive (of course, there are vineyards but will talk about somwhere else), Olive is what has Spain ticking!.

When oen live in Spain, one understand that going to the terraces, ask for tapas, in the south the salads, to go to the endless restaurants, gallegos, vascos, andaluces, even when international cuisine is "translated" into spanish, all dishes, absolutely all food is based on olive oil!!, it has a very widespread usage from home, restaurants and who knows what other usages; so there is going to be eternal demand for Olive Oil and aldo eternal market for it, so understanding the impact of Olive Oil in the spanish society helps to explain bit part of the economic machine of the country, is basically what keeps it running.

on the other hand in Mexico, trying to have a parallel approach, there is a kind of failure there!! for instance, tortilla (made of corn!), eventhough is the cornestore of the "mexican society" , when one go to a 'normal' restaurant, you dont get tortillas! not even in many homes !! of course nationwide production of corn must be huge, however still some of it is imported as it might be very costy to be produced in Mexico; other two pilars are tequila and 'chile', we can not keep drinking tequila all the time (well some exceptional ones, can!), but the same goes with 'chile'. It turns out that a similar model like the spanish one turns very complex in Mexico.

Also saw this Solar Farms in Adalucia, very very impresive, all of them oriented to the Sun automatically, this is really an action learning that many must take not of:
really.

Walking around in Downtown Jerez, came across the Cathedral, as soon as I spot the adyacent tower I realised the Arabs were there (Andujar art), apparently the top of the tower is catholic but the rest I see it muslism, dont know how but know it, here I put pics, one belongs to a mosque and the another one the one in Jerez.
