Lanzarote

Spent the last week in Lanzarote, initially though that a Volcanic place couldn't offer too much for holidays seekers (as I remember the same kind of landscape in a vast area of Amboseli National Park in Kenya, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amboseli_National_Park ); however I was gratefully surprised how the volcanic nature of the place was turned around into a big tourist place; on one hand the landscape was atonishing! on the other there were some (small) nice beaches with crystal-clear water and fine sand; of course, at the same time, in the area where the Hotel was located (close to Yaiza http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaiza ) all buildings, houses and roads seem artificial, but what can be asked for a place that had nothing but stones made of lava!. There is a big National Park.
It was interesting how even some people challenged the soil and try to create vineyards, theme parks, etc.

It was a very interesting trip and hope can return sometime soon, here I put some pictures below
